Accessing Text Search Options
1. Open the Text Search Options:- Click the gear icon at the screen's top right corner.
- Navigate to the "Text Search Options" section.
Configuring Search Fields
You can refine your keyword search by altering the scope by selecting from one or more of the following options:
1. Title: Select the "Title" box to focus your search exclusively on the titles of opportunities and awards.2. Solicitation Number/CN: Check the "Solicitation Number/CN" box to limit your search solely to solicitation or contract numbers.
3. Description: Choose the "Description" box to concentrate your search on the summary information provided by the government within the descriptions of opportunities and awards.
4. Attachments: Opt for the "Attachments" box to conduct your search within the attached documents associated with opportunities.
Disabling Stemming
Keyword stemming includes different forms of a root word, such as "run," "running," and "runs," but you can disable this feature for precise results, particularly when dealing with acronyms.
-To do so, select the "Disable Stemming" box to ensure that only the exact terms are used without root word variations.
Saving Preferences
Customize your search by setting preferred keyword fields as the default for future searches; simply click the "Set as Default Keyword Fields" box to save your current selections and apply them automatically to future searches.
These features enable precise and efficient searches, ensuring you get relevant results. You enhance accuracy and consistency by customizing keyword fields, disabling stemming, and saving preferences.
