Streamlining Success: Managing Tasks with Federal Compass

Managing tasks effectively is crucial for maintaining order and efficiency, especially when handling multiple opportunities and processes involving numerous team members.

The absence of proper task management can lead to chaos and unfinished work, impacting your team's success. That's where tasks come in—they serve as customizable reminders and collaborative tools to assign responsibilities, set deadlines, and track team progress.

1. Creating Tasks

Tasks can be generated for content across the Federal Compass platform. When on a specific piece of contact you can generate a task by doing the following:

    - Navigate to the collaboration panel on the right side of the page and find the Task feature.

- Once the edit field is open, you can name the task, assign a due date, designate an assignee, and include any additional information in the body of the task.

Upon creating a task, its status will be “Assigned,” and an email will be sent to alert the assignee of the new task. Additional status options will allow users to provide a disposition on the task's current progress.

- “In Progress” will communicate that the assignee has seen and is working on the task.

- “Blocked” will communicate that the assignee depends on an action they do not control and cannot progress with the task.

- “Completed” will communicate that the assignee has finished the task. Once the status is set to complete, the reporter will receive a notification that the task has been completed.

Federal Compass offers various methods to access, modify, and advance tasks efficiently. You can find tasks in the following ways:
