When it comes to editing opportunities that are in a Lead List, there are a couple of different factors to take into consideration.
First, was the opportunity assigned to the Lead List manually or via a Saved Search?- If the Opportunity was manually assigned to a Lead List, it may simply be removed by manually removing it from the Opportunity via the link icon on the top-right corner of the opportunities card view, from the Pipeline View, or from within the Opportunity.
- If the Opportunity was assigned to the Lead List via a Saved Search, manually removing the opportunity will not alleviate the notifications from sending for that opportunity. The Lead List sends alerts every morning around 5 AM EST on any Saved Searches that are assigned to it. If the Contracting Officer provides an update to an opportunity that is associated with a Saved Search that is assigned to a Lead List, it will just reassign itself to the Lead List. To bypass this, one of two actions MUST take place:
- The Saved Search criteria may be altered to no longer include the undesired Opportunity. With this option, the Opportunity will need to be manually removed from the Lead List as the Lead List does NOT update retroactively, so any existing leads will remain in the Lead List despite edits made to the Saved Search.
Note: the Posted Date of the Opportunity reflects the date of the last Notice History update. The Notice History is the date that prompts the Lead List to send an email notification for an opportunity that fits a Saved Searches criteria. - An additional option is to Hide an Opportunity via the Bookmark icon. Opportunities may be hidden via the bookmark icon on the top-right corner of the opportunities card view, from the Pipeline View, or from within the Opportunity.
- The Saved Search criteria may be altered to no longer include the undesired Opportunity. With this option, the Opportunity will need to be manually removed from the Lead List as the Lead List does NOT update retroactively, so any existing leads will remain in the Lead List despite edits made to the Saved Search.
Note: Hiding the Opportunity will not only stop email notifications from sending via the Lead List, but it will also hide the opportunity from the view of the end-user who selected to enable the feature. For companies that operate in multiple industries and markets, one user may need an opportunity that another user in the same organization does not wish to see.
